Cut at an angle, low on the cone, so the core lands off to one side as a tight rosette with fine rings in it. The scales fan out from there in tan and rust, some with pale feathered tips, and there are patches of turquoise and dark red sitting in the gaps between them. The outline is the cone's own, a rounded triangle that narrows toward the top.
The resin is poured thick and reads glassy over the whole face, with a few small bubbles caught near the left side. It wraps the edge so the scale tips are sealed flush and nothing catches. It hangs from a coiled wire loop at the narrow end, on a pale braided cord.
